BLAH BLAG BLOG

WELCOME
Please enjoy my site - I love what I do and I think it's reflected in my work.

As most in the tattoo world know, Bret passed away on 9/29/12.
He left some of his paintings, some scratch art, prints, and a very sad space in many hearts.  Much of what is on this site is not available, but some is and is for sale.  We like to hear stories from Bret's many friends.  Please reach me at:  bretzsmom@comcast.net .  Thanks, Sandra

Frazetta by Bret Zarro
Frazetta by Bret Zarro

Look at what I just found...
going through my old traveling laptop
I stumbled upon this work I did on the road,
I'm not sure which convention but I believe
it was either 2005 or 2006

It's based on work by Frank Frazetta,
he actually did 2 versions of this piece
in 2 different mediums -
the titles escape me at the moment
but I do remember taking elements from both.

Here's some new images...

I have many 'works in progress'
and prefer to post completed work.

I have had the opportunity
to do some pretty interesting work
in the past year -

I plan on posting work
that really showcases what I've
been wanting to do for years.

About My Art...

Anyone who's ever sat in my chair knows
how important my fine art is to me.
It's all that will be left after the last tattoos
turn to dust.
It will be my legacy -

I put allot of energy into my all art,
all of my spare time is consumed by it.
I take Commissions whenever I can
and am always in the midst of one project
or another to keep me sharp and thinking...

Between painting, drawing, and scratch art,
I also do a fair amount of writing, carving,
and sculpting.
One of these days I'm going to add pages
for my sculptures and other media
that I occupy my time with...
when I'm not tattooing.
